Heritage glimpse of Ajanta and Ellora

Ajanta Caves (95 km/ approx. 2.5 hours): Have breakfast at the hotel. Explore the Ajanta caves – with the finest Indian Art this World Heritage Site has Buddhist paintings from Jataka tales. Most of the paintings date back centuries. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Ellora Caves (30 km/ approx. 1 hour): Have breakfast at the hotel. Go sightseeing to Aurangabad – a destination with medieval monuments and cultural heritage. Visit Bibi-ka-Makbara, the mausoleum of Aurangzeb's queen. Also explore the Panchakki, a water-powered flour mill an engineering masterpiece. Go to the Daulatabad Fort -known as Devagiri, it is a magnificent fortress standing on a hilltop. In the afternoon, visit the Ellora Caves - another World Heritage Site carved out of the Charanandri hills. There are a total of 34 caves. The Kailash Temple in one of the caves is a remarkable form of architecture, with sculptures and spatial effects. Overnight stay in the hotel.

Departure: Have breakfast, and check out of the hotel. Transfer to Aurangabad airport to board the flight back home.
