On arrival at Mangalore airport, our chauffer will welcome you at the airport and will brief you about the tour plan ahead. Later you’ll be headed to Udupi. Udupi is the land of breathtaking beauty, located between the verdant mountains of the Western Ghats and the Arabian Sea. The name of this city was originated from Odipu. According to local legend, the 27 stars of Hindu astrology were married to the Moon, and soon after, the Moon lost its luster. As Lord Shiva is the last resort for everyone, the Moon and the stars created a Lingam and offered puja. Udu means Lord and Pa means Stars in Sanskrit. Arrive and check into your hotel. After refreshment and if time permits, you’ll be taken to Malpe Beach which is 06 km away from Uduppi centre. Malpe Beach: The beach is a virgin beach, located at a distance about 6 kms from Udupi. It is an important port and a fishing harbour in the state of Karnataka. Located just 4 miles off the coast of Karnataka in the Arabian Sea, St. Mary's Island is a geological treasure and hosts some of the most beautiful beaches in the country. Kodi Beach - Delta Beach, also known as Kodi Bengre Beach, is located in a small village of Kodi Bengre in Udupi district, Karnataka. The beach is located at an estuary where the Swarna River meets the Arabian Sea. Daria Bahadurgad Fort - Daria Bahadurgad Fort is located on this island. The island is less than 250 yards and is wide about just 1.6 sq km. Although small, the rocky island has many scenic locations. A very old tile factory and a few famous temples are also near the Daria Bahadurgad fort. Overnight at Udupi.
After breakfast, finish check out procedures and proceed for Gokarna. Gokharna is yet another coastal line situated on the south western Indian State of Karnataka. Literally meaning cow's ear, the quaint town of Gokarna in Karnataka is formed by the ear-shaped confluence of two rivers and the favorite destination for Hindu pilgrims, Sanskrit scholars, and beach buffs. Om Beach, one of Gokarna's five famed beaches, takes the shape of the 'Om', a Hindu spiritual symbol. The other beaches, wedged between gigantic cliffs that protrude like delicate fingers into the sea, are Gokarna, Kudle, Half Moon, and Paradise. The path that leads to Gokarna is a scenic delight with Rocky Mountains and the Western Ghats on one side, and the Arabian Sea on the other. Adventurous tourists must be prepared for a bit of cliff-scrambling in this coastal town.
