Arrival at Madurai, Check in at the hotel. Explore Madurai, Much like Varanasi in the north; Madurai is one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in India. Situated on the banks of Vaigai River in Tamil Nadu, the city is known for its Meenakshi Sundareswarar Temple. Apart from being a pilgrim town, a popular tourist destination, a cultural hotspot and the erstwhile capital of the Pandyan dynasty Madurai is also known for its food, cuisine, architecture, shopping and endearing people.visit Madurai Meenakshi Temple and the places nearby. After breakfast, proceeds to Kodaikanal. This hill station is famous for its breath-taking views and unsurpassed beauty provides calmness to your travel. Kodaikanal is a place you can go to take a break from the rigours of daily city life, and this hill station lets you sit back and connect with nature as you head out on biking or trekking trails or take a stroll through the vast forests surrounding the town. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, proceeds for sight-seeing. This includes, Kodai Lake, Dolphin Nose, and Pillar Rocks etc. The Kodaikanal Lake was created by Sir Vere Hendry Levinge, the retired Collector of Madurai who had settled down there. He constructed a bund to form a lake and stocked the lake with fish. He then bought a boat from Tuticorin. Situated at a distance of 8km from the Queen of Hills, Dolphin’s Nose Kodaikanal is something you should never miss on. With an altitude of 6600 feet, the Dolphin’s Nose offers enthralling views of the entire city. Rugged terrains, clear skies, plunged valleys, and the splendour of lush green surroundings is what sums up the beauty of Dolphin’s Nose. An interesting natural rock formation that stands 122 meters high and is located 7 km from the lake.
After breakfast, proceed to Meghamalai. Welcome to Meghamalai, the abode of clouds. The hilly region with moist climate surrounded by Western Ghats and bounded by lush evergreen forests has many natural attractions for all round fun and enjoyment.
After breakfast, rest of the day is at leisure. Enjoy pristine nature and the tea estates gives an utmost relaxation from the hectic of daily life.
After breakfast, check out in time, drive from Meghamalai to Madurai for onward flight.
