Delhi
Delhi is the National Capital Territory that is both a city and a union territory that contains New Delhi, the capital of India. It is India’s second most populous city after Mumbai. It is a city steeped in history with remains of the various ancient empires that once based their dynasties out of this city, most notably the Mughal Empire. There are numerous tourist attractions in Delhi, both of historic and sightseeing interests. It is home to three different UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the Qutb Complex, Red Fort and Humayun's Tomb. These sites are a great testament to the grandeur of Indo Islamic architecture. Delhi is also a city that has one of the largest Hindu temple complexes in the world, the Akshardham Temple which is a major tourist attraction for visitors to the city. A host of religious sites like Lal Mandir, Laxminarayan Temple, Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, Lotus Temple, Jama Masjid and ISKCON Temple give Delhi a truly diverse multi-cultural identity. Delhi is also a paradise for all kinds of shoppers. From fancy high-end shopping neighborhoods to flea markets, Delhi has it all. Connaught Place, Chandni Chowk, Sarojini Nagar, Khan Market, and Dilli Haat are some of the major retail markets in Delhi. Some of the prominent shopping malls include Select Citywalk, Pacific Mall, DLF Promenade, DLF Emporio, Metro Walk, and Ansal Plaza.
